I’m always (always) searching for area rugs to stage houses. They can make such an impact and enhance a design, but they can be so pricey. Sure, I got really lucky with the $20 huge Target rug I scored for the dining room at Flip 5. But let’s be honest, those scores are rare. You can easily drop several hundreds of dollars on an area rug.
I first discovered Boutique Rugs via Instagram. They were offering a sale, free shipping, and designs that appealed to me. Based on their prices and then add the additional sale, I was willing to take a risk.
I perused their inventory– which varies from neutral and subtle to bold and colorful. I knew I wanted bold and colorful. The wall color was subtle, so I wanted to up the design game with the rug. I settled on the Harput rug in 5×7. With a neutral gray base, it accented the walls well, and the vibrant colors were great pops of design.
I purposefully chose a pattern that had elements of old-school style, but the colors bring a modern twist. Boutique Rugs has several styles- including super contemporary- if the traditional style isn’t your thing.
The main thing that convinced me to try a company from Instagram was that they offered free shipping and easy returns. With the sale and free shipping, I spent just under $100. So my thought was- what do I have to lose? It arrived fairly quickly, and from a size standpoint, it fits perfectly in the living room.
From a quality standpoint, I love this rug. The colors are just as bold and vibrant in person. The thickness of the rug shows its quality. This rug has become a statement piece; everyone comments on it. The blues in the rug just so happen to pair perfectly with the blue accent chairs. I’ve spent far more on area rugs, and I really love this one…but I really love that it was less than $100!
For staging, what I love is the variety and accessibility. If I need a super traditional rug, I can have it in a few days. If I need a very modern one, I can have it in a few days. Besides the price, I’m sold on the quality. This is not a sponsored post. I wasn’t compensated for this review. This is simply a product and company that I discovered and loved and thought you might too!
