Flip #3 had old windows. Old cheap, energy-sucking windows. They had to go…immediately. Not just for curb appeal, but since it’s an older home, I want to improve the energy efficiency.
I do not use chain window companies because in all of my flips, they have been astronomical and unprofessional. So, I use a local ma-n-pop operation on all my flips.
I opted to for pane-less white, double-hung tilt windows. If you recall, I didn’t put windows in the sunroom. The cost to add the sunroom was double, and I just didn’t have that in the budget.
Over the course of several days, the old windows were removed and hauled away, and the new ones installed. With the painted brick, the new windows really pop.
I am still considering either adding my DIY shutters or creating a DIY planter box under the long series of windows in the front.
